Mouse Hunt

I think mice are smarter than we give them credit for. It has been about a week since I first spotted one in our house. I was in the kitchen cooking dinner and turned my head to see a fat little mouse scurry across the linoleum floor. First off…our kitchen reminds me of a scene in a horror movie, and now to top it off….we have little pests making camp in the horror scene. When I saw it, I grabbed my butcher knife and my revolver and chased it down the hall (jk)…but we did buy some traps the very next day. To start off I wanted to be nice, so we set up the ‘no-kill’ mouse trap. This didn’t work, so we set up a few ‘snap the neck’ traps. These little Einstein mice somehow get the peanut butter off the trap without putting it off. Our next plan- the tortuous sticky traps. Once the mouse gets stuck on the trap, you throw it away and I guess they starve to death…sad, but crossing our fingers these ones will work.

Our creepy kitchen.

  1. EWW!! We had a mouse in our garage. We used Decon (?) poison and alas there is no more mouse!
