The exotic cheesecake dancer…

I’ve seen people dance with a boom box in hand….but seeing somebody dance with a cheesecake was definitely a first.
Last night Steve and I went to a friend’s birthday party at a dance club. #1-I hate dancing, and #2-I really don’t like going to big parties…I like smaller gatherings.
So, we had been there for about 45 minutes and I was trying to formulate a way to get out…any way possible. I came up with a brilliant idea-Steve and I would leave the party and try to find a grocery store to buy a birthday cake to surprise her with.
We came back about 45 minutes later with a large cheesecake (thanks to Star Market…at such a late hour). We lit the candles and made our way through the crowd of people. We sang happy b-day to my friend and then she blew out the candles. After serving cheesecake to about 4 people, a VERY drunk girl approached me, mumbled something and took the cheesecake right out of my hands! She put it in the palm of her hand and started dancing. It was as if she was holding up and showing off a prized possession…a trophy that she had just won…she was so proud of it! That was her prize and nobody was going to take it from her….and believe me, I tried. We had a tug-a-war battle, and unfortunately she won.
Moral of the story- Drunk girl+Cheesecake=cheap entertainment!
