Update

On a picnic!
What happens when we get bored.
Our new place.
So small.
I can’t believe it is already April. Time is flying by way too fast! Boston is starting to brighten up with warm weather and blossoms. I was walking through the downtown common and public garden yesterday and there were people everywhere…flying kites, having picnics, and just enjoying the nice weather. There was a man playing the bagpipes as well, which made my little stroll even more pleasant. I love the spring!
Steve and I moved to Winchester, MA. It is about 6 miles outside of the city. About a month ago I was looking on craigslist for jobs and came across a live-in caretaker position. I called on it, got hired, and then we moved in one week. We live in their basement rent free in exchange for driving the mother to work, picking her kids up from school, and cleaning the house once a week. Our basement apartment is small, but nice. We love the neighborhood and downtown area. There are really cute boutique shops and beautiful lakes and ponds nearby.
School is going well and I can honestly say that I don’t want it to end (probably won’t be saying this once I start my thesis:). Last week I started forming my thesis committee…so it’s right around the corner. This term I’ve really enjoyed my project management class, which has given me the opportunity to consult for a local bookstore-the Brookline Booksmith. My project group has done different things to help brand the bookstore and market its green initiatives. It has been a really good learning experience to actually get out and get my hands dirty.
Steve has done some exciting design work. He is doing an internship with his dad’s friend, Dikayl. Dikayl is an amazing designer and Steve has been trying to soak everything in. A couple of weeks ago they designed some backdrops and posters for a Ralph Lauren store in France. This next week they will be making some propaganda posters for a campaign in New London, CT.
We are so excited for family and friends to come visit this summer….can’t wait! Our couch is always open for anyone who wants to come. Hope you all had a nice Easter.
